Peer Support Group for Women
Mondays 12:30-2:30 Online: via Zoom
Wednesdays: 12noon-2pm Preston (top floor meeting room of St George’s Shopping Centre (near the car park entrance)

The overall aim of the Steps to Confidence group is for you to start to know and like yourself; look at what you would like to change; start to make those changes; start to believe in yourself; identify your strengths and skills; doubt yourself less; connect with likeminded people; build inner strength and learn techniques and strategies to help your overall well-being.
- Whilst in this group you will have support from your tutor/support staff. This is a confidential, safe space where you can open up to like-minded people about your hopes and fears, whilst starting a journey of self-discovery and growth.
- We will teach you strategies and techniques that will help you to build inner strength and resilience that can help you to stay focused on what you want through difficult times.
- You will look at your communication styles and start to be more assertive whilst raising your self-esteem and confidence levels. You will have the chance to explore any goals you would like to reach and gain knowledge on how you can reach those goals.
- We will share money & energy saving tips and provide employability support.

‘The Menopause Toolbox’ aims to inform you of the changes that can happen throughout your menopause journey. We hope to arm you with techniques, strategies, and ideas you can work with in order to get through the menopause in the best possible way.
Within a safe, confidential space you can share with other women tips, ideas, advice and, overall enjoy spending time with like-minded people going through the same experience.

The course does not offer medical advice with regards to their physical health but will concentrate on the mind/body connection by using CBT interventions that aim to help people who have long term conditions, pain management, Sleep & mindfulness, Low mood & self-compassion and resilience to help learners cope better whilst living with their Long Term Condition.
