Creative Nature Workshops with Prospects Foundation
Try Something New this Spring
Spring is a wonderful time for new beginnings, creativity and spending time connecting with nature.
Our Creative Nature Workshops offer a relaxed and welcoming space where you can learn a new skill, enjoy a mindful activity and create something beautiful to take home.
These hands-on sessions are delivered in partnership with the Prospects Foundation, with Project Officer Alice guiding participants through each activity. No previous experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.
Whether you want to try something creative, meet new people or simply enjoy a calm and enjoyable activity, these workshops are open to everyone.
Hazel Coaster Making Workshop
Create your own handmade coasters using locally sourced hazel from Brookside Nature Reserve in Oswaldtwistle.
This relaxed drop-in session allows you to work at your own pace. You’re welcome to pop in, enjoy a cup of tea and make one or several coasters during the session.
Alice from the Prospects Foundation will be on hand to guide you through the process and share more about the work being done to protect and promote local green spaces.

Living Willow Heart Workshop
In this creative workshop, you’ll learn how to make your own living willow heart, ready to plant in a pot or your garden at home.
This simple but beautiful craft uses natural materials and is a great way to connect with nature while creating something lasting. Your willow heart will continue to grow once planted, making it a lovely reminder of the workshop.
Alice will guide you step-by-step through the process and talk about the importance of local nature conservation.
