Our Charity is governed by a board of trustees, who bring skills and expertise in key areas. Day to day management of the charity is delegated to our Chief Executive Officer, with the support of the Senior Leadership Team, leading a team of dedicated, skilled and experienced delivery staff and admin team.
The capacity of the organisation is further supported through our team of volunteers – who bring on board vital skills, community knowledge and above all else passion for the work they do.
We are currently recruiting for a new CEO.
April 2025
Bringing experience of working in the charity sector since 1997, Suzanne has previously worked in business development roles and has a strong working knowledge of the sector, different third sector contracting requirements and externally funded programmes. She has a wealth of experience in developing successful partnerships and securing funding that has provided additional services and provision in some of the most marginalised communities in Lancashire. She is passionate about making a difference and ensuring individuals have access to the right services, at the right time in their local communities.
Kerry is passionate about the ethos and values of Lancashire Women, originally joining the organisation in 2005 as an Employment Support Officer. Her journey through the organisation has progressed from becoming a Project Manager, then the Deputy Operations Manager before starting her current role of HR & Estates Director.
Kerry has previous experience in HR and recruitment, and has several years experience in Advice & Guidance as well as being qualified to Management at Level 6. After managing a range of successful projects Kerry is now utilising her 12 years of third sector knowledge as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
The CEO is the senior executive of the organisation, appointed by the Board, and is accountable to the Board through the Chair. The CEO is accountable for the performance of LW’s paid staff and volunteer workforce and is responsible to the Board for the day-to-day leadership, operation and administration of all aspects of LW’s organisation.
For the efficient and effective management and proper operation of the charity, the CEO delegates at their discretion several of their responsibilities to the SLT and other employees. This further delegation of responsibilities does not release the Chief Executive from overall responsibility to the Board. A Scheme of Delegation exists which identifies the respective functions of the Board, CEO and the Sub Committees.
