For this year’s annual Walk with LW (sponsored by NORI HR, BEWI UK, Brsk and Raffily) we want to focus on wellbeing and the importance of taking care of our mental health.
Nobody should face mental health struggles alone. By walking with us you will help to raise awareness and highlight the importance of breaking the stigma, all whilst enjoying a fun day out along the coast!
Come along to The Venue at Cleveleys at 10am to kick off a memorable walk filled with socialising, mindfulness, and nature. All participants can look forward to several treats along the way. Thanks to the generosity of the Grand Hotel, walkers will enjoy complimentary chips and refreshing drinks near the halfway point. And as you cross the finish line, each walker will be rewarded with a goodie bag and a welcome-back drink to celebrate!
Join us for this fantastic day with your family, friends or colleagues, all are welcome (even well-behaved furry friends!) to show up for women and their families across Lancashire. The money raised will allow our charity to keep our services running and help women across the county pursue positive change.
Dust off those walking shoes and grab your tickets today! Walk with Lancashire Women 2024 Tickets
Location: The Venue, North Promenade, Cleveleys, Thornton-Cleveleys FY5 1LW
Date & Time: Sunday 15th September 10am
Distance: Approx. 10 miles
Women disproportionately experience inequality and disadvantage because of gender and for that reason Lancashire Women exists to enable them to have choices for their lives and to feel they can take their place in society.
There is someone who needs you today, and your donation can change her life.
£5 would pay towards resources for our Peer Support groups.
£12 would help to train a volunteer Befriender to support women waiting for therapy.
£24 would pay for a woman to have a session with a counsellor.
£50 would help pay for a woman to attend our CPD accredited suicide awareness course.
We will meet at The Venue in Cleveleys (FY5 1LW) from 9:00am onwards, where we will get you signed in and ready to set off on the Promenade at 10:00am. And we will finish back at The Venue with a celebration for everyone’s efforts!
All walkers will receive an event t-shirt and goodie bag. Event t-shirts will be handed out at registration. *Please be aware family tickets only receive one t-shirt, however, additional t-shirts can be purchased.*
Our tickets are available to buy now through this link. Walk with Lancashire Women 2024 Tickets
Tickets will be sold up until Friday 13th September, provided they have not sold out, we recommend booking early so that there’s no disappointment!
Of course – everyone is welcome! We want as many people as possible walking to raise awareness about our cause and rallying support. Please note for little ones who may tire out the walk is almost 10 miles.
That’s completely fine, we suggest doing the first leg and taking the tram back from the Comedy Carpet (halfway point) or feel free to meet us there and do the last leg instead! Either way we welcome people to complete as much or as little of the walk as manageable, please get in touch with fundraising@lancashirewomen.org if you have any concerns.
Friendly, sociable dogs are very much welcome additions to the walk – we would love to see their furry faces joining! Please be aware that the walk will likely take around 3 hours to complete. And remember they must stay on leads and any mess must be cleared up.
While the walk is a ticketed event, we would really appreciate walkers aim to raise a minimum of £25 each in sponsorship just to bring in that little bit extra. All money raised will go directly to Lancashire Women and allow us to keep supporting vulnerable women make positive changes to their lives.
