Walk With Lancashire Women 2024
On Sunday 15th September 70 of our supporters braved the torrential rain to undertake this year’s Walk with Lancashire Women, which saw them walk 16km along Cleveleys & Blackpool promenade to raise awareness about mental health. Thanks to the amazing efforts by the dedicated walkers & volunteer team the event has so far raised £4012!
While the rain made the walk even more challenging, our walkers kept spirits high and took it in stride. We had great support on the day from the Grand Hotel providing much needed chips to keep everyone fuelled, and there was the wonderful music of Worldwise Samba Drummers welcoming walkers back then followed by a well-deserved welcome back drink and goodie bag at The Venue.
Thank you to our amazing sponsors NORI HR, Brsk, BEWI UK, and Raffily who made the event possible.
Why support Lancashire Women?
Women disproportionately experience inequality and disadvantage because of gender and for that reason Lancashire Women exists to enable them to have choices for their lives and to feel they can take their place in society.
There is someone who needs you today, and your donation can change her life.
£5 would pay towards resources for our Peer Support groups.
£12 would help to train a volunteer Befriender to support women waiting for therapy.
£24 would pay for a woman to have a session with a counsellor.
£50 would help pay for a woman to attend our CPD accredited suicide awareness course.
