Why Make a Will?
Making a will gives you peace of mind, knowing that the people and causes you care about will be looked after in the way you choose.
Your will sets out how your belongings, like your home, savings, or personal items, should be shared after you’re gone. Without one, the law decides what happens, which may not reflect your wishes.

Types of Gifts in Wills
Residuary gift
This is a percentage of what’s left of your estate after you’ve looked after friends and family. Lots of people choose this option, as the value adjusts with your estate over time rather than being a fixed amount.
Pecuniary gift
This is a specific amount of money. It’s worth bearing in mind that the effects of inflation mean that this type of gift is likely to lose value over time and mayend up being less than you initially intend.
Specific gift
This means leaving a particular item like property, shares, or something personal to you.
