On the 6th & 7th of September, 15 teams took on our epic Race Across Lancashire challenge! With 8 checkpoints for teams to race to (all without the help of GPS, internet or unlimited budgets!), special tasks along the way and a whole lotta’ teamwork needed – this challenge raised a whopping £23,500.
With it being our 40th anniversary year, it only felt right to go back to where it all started and party like it’s 1985! This incredible evening was filled with lots of 80s tunes, sparkle and laughter. With the help from sponsors and our generous community, we were able to raise £13,711.11!
In collaboration with Hermosa Boutique, we had a glamorous at the Pavillion on the Prom. With performances by powerhouse singer Catriona Holden, fabulous drag artist Kristal Kweer and the bold Blackpool Burlesque group – it really was a night to remember!
On Sunday 15th September 70 of our supporters braved the torrential rain to undertake this year’s Walk with Lancashire Women, which saw them walk 16km along Cleveleys & Blackpool promenade to raise awareness about mental health. Thanks to the amazing efforts by the dedicated walkers & volunteer team the event has so far raised £4012! find out more
We raised a fabulous £1473 through our Brave the Cold challenge and Marles Wood Dip during December. On behalf of all of us at Lancashire Women I want to say THANK YOU. Support from our local community at events like these help us to keep supporting women and their families in Lancashire.
