After over 7 years of outstanding service, Amanda Greenwood has announced her decision to step down as CEO of Lancashire Women. While we are deeply saddened to see her leave, we fully support and respect her decision as she embarks on the next chapter of her personal and professional journey.
Lynette Harwood, Chair of the Board of Trustees, shared the following message: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Amanda for her dedication and commitment to Lancashire Women over the past seven years. Together we have had to navigate the organisation through some extremely challenging times, but we have become stronger for it. Amanda leaves us with a firm standing to continue to support our most vulnerable women and their families. We will miss her very much but can also feel excited for her as she starts her new venture and, we warmly wish her every success for her future.”
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Amanda for her extraordinary contributions to Lancashire Women. Amanda’s decision to step down was not made lightly. After 7 years, she feels the time is right to pursue new opportunities. As a passionate advocate for change, Amanda has been a relentless force in improving the lives of vulnerable women. She has served on numerous boards and forums, effectively amplifying the voices and experiences of women to key stakeholders.
Reflecting on her time at Lancashire Women, Amanda shared: “It’s been quite a journey over the last 7 years but a huge privilege to work as CEO, heading up a fantastic team and supported by a dedicated Board of Trustees. The world remains an unequal and sometimes very difficult place for women, but I know the organisation will continue its work with passion and commitment – there is plenty to do, and a new CEO will move things forward again. I look forward to seeing what Lancashire Women does next and wish everyone all the very best in making that difference”
As we look to the future, we are confident that Lancashire Women will continue to grow and thrive, powered by our passionate staff, dedicated volunteers, and generous supporters and partners. The Board remains inspired by the tenacity, compassion, courage, and commitment of everyone in our community.
